Orr is uniquely located in the heart of a vast wilderness area many refer to as Voyageur
Country. Within the
city limits of Orr we have more then 80 motels rooms that cater to nearly every price,
need and desire of our guests. The area surrounding Orr boasts of many other hotels,
Beds & Breakfasts and resorts that for years have catered to tourists of all types and
interests. Orr itself sits on a 12,000-acre lake called Pelican Lake and is
conveniently located on State Hwy 53 leading into Canada. To add to Orr's uniqueness
is its central location and easy access to so many major metro areas. Within a 1 hour drive
of Orr lives a population of over 100,000 people. Three major metro areas that are less
then an hour drive of Orr is International Falls, the Hibbing/Chisholm area and the
Virginia/Mtn. Iron/Gilbert area. All of these metro areas are on major highways of which
Orr is in the center of. Duluth/Superior is just 1-l/2 hours south of Orr on Hwy 53 and
Canada is just an hour drive north.
